This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko. A lightning bolt moves 40.0 coulombs of electrons and we want to know how many electrons that is equivalent to? So we multiply the 40.0 coulombs by 1 electron for every 1.60 times 10 to the minus 19 coulombs, the coulomb units cancel and we are left with number of electrons which is 2.50 times 10 to the 20 electrons.
