During open heart surgery, a defibrillator can pass 10.0 milliamps, which is 10.0 times 10 to the minus 3 amps, through the heart, which during open heart surgery, has a resistance of only 500 ohms. and the question is what is the voltage in this case? So voltage is the product of current and resistance so that means you multiply the two together so that's 10.0 times 10 to the minus 3 amps times 500 ohms which is 5.00 volts.
