This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko. 200 amps of current moves across the spark in a spark plug in an engine and that moves 0.300 millicoulombs of charge and that is 0.300 times 10 to the minus 3 coulombs and we want to know what duration is the shock for... what is the amount of time for the shock? So current is the amount of charge that moves divided by the time it takes to move it and we can solve for t by multiplying both sides by t over I. So this means the time then is the charge that moves divided by the current, which is 0.300 times 10 to the minus 3 coulombs divided by 200 amps which makes 1.50 microseconds.
