This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko. A radio station is using a wavelength of 11.12 meters and the question is what is its frequency? Well the wave equation says that the frequency multiplied by the wavelength is the speed of the wave and in this case, it's the speed of light so it gets a special letter c and we can solve for frequency by dividing both sides by λ. So frequency then is the speed of light divided by the wavelength and that is 2.998 times 10 to the 8 meters per second divided by 11.12 meters and that's 26.9 megahertz.
