This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko. We want to find the maximum electric field strength in an electromagnetic wave given that we know that it has a certain maximum magnetic field strength. And the two are related because the ratio of the two equals the speed of light. And so, we can multiply both sides by this maximum magnetic field strength, and we solve for the electric field strength. So it's 3 times 10 to the 8 meters per second times 5 times 10 to the minus 4... well, that's Tesla. And this works out to 1.50 times 10 to the 5 newtons per Coulomb.
