This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko. In section 17.6 in the textbook, it mentions that a change in sound and density level of three decibels is easily noticed. And so with this radio, the next lower volume that we would be three decibels less than the original volume will be 85. And so 85 minus three gives 82 decibels.
