This cheetah begins at rest so the initial velocity is 0, in other words, and they have a final velocity of 30 meters per second and the cheetah takes 7.00 seconds to change from 0 to 30 meters per second. So the average acceleration is defined as the change in velocity divided by the change in time so that's the final velocity minus the initial velocity divided by time which is 30 meters per second minus 0 divided by 7 which is 4.29 meters per second squared acceleration.
