This is College Physics Answers with Shaun Dychko.  The amount of energy stored in the capacitor is the capacitance multiplied by the voltage applied squared divided by two. So, that's 165 microfarads, which is times ten to the minus six farads, times 119 volts squared, divided by two, gives 1.17 Joules of energy. So, that's the amount of work that the electric motor could do using this capacitor, by the way.
